FAQ
Teams + tryouts

What is a Time to Sign team?
A regional baseball team led by trusted local baseball people, inside a national Time to Sign system with development, competition and recruiting support built in. Learn about TTS teams.
Which regions do you have teams in?
Florida (South Florida Bandits), New England, Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and South. Find your region.
How do I join a team?
Register for a regional tryout or college coach evaluation, or submit player interest. After the evaluation, families receive a roster decision. View tryouts.
Who coaches the teams?
The value in our system is that it is set with roles. The on-field coaches work on development and in-game adjustments; they are former college players who have been through the process. The team manager sets rosters and rotations, and the college coaches recruit the players.
What is the summer team schedule?
Most important is playing where the college coaches are. Our schedule is very dynamic from a geographical and strategic standpoint to get the most of your exposure opportunities.
Who is the right candidate for your programs?
The student-athlete who values academics and athletics equally, and is responsible, accountable and coachable.
Recruiting support
Can I tell you where I want to play ball?
Absolutely. We want to know your preferences. Your input is valuable as we define the types of schools for you as a student-athlete.
I’ve been told that I should reach out to hundreds of coaches. Is this advisable?
Suggesting that you contact 100+ coaches is poor advice. Academics alone narrow your list to 30-40 schools. Time to Sign determines your unique list by incorporating academic, athletic, social, and financial need factors.
Will you actually call coaches on my behalf?
We constantly communicate with college coaches throughout the country. Understanding the specific needs a coach has for each recruiting class enables us to target our approach. We will help get your name on the radar of the appropriate schools based on your evaluation. At the end of the day, you will be the one to earn a roster spot.
What if I want to play at a school that you don’t have a relationship with?
You need not worry. Our reputation, credible assessments of the student-athlete, and access to each college and university affords us the opportunity to open doors and establish new relationships. With or without a prior relationship, if your game is in line with a school’s needs, we will get you on their radar.
Do you have a searchable database of videos for coaches?
Most coaches do not scour the internet looking for videos of players. They rely on trustworthy sources to present a video, and it is most important that they see you personally. We use video after you have been introduced to the coach and there is a legitimate interest in you.
Will you negotiate final offers from schools on my behalf?
We will not negotiate the offer that is made. The offer to play ball and enroll in any school is between the student-athlete, the school, and the school’s coaching staff and admissions office. We will offer advice and counsel throughout.
Will you speak to Major League Baseball on my behalf?
No. Under no conditions will we contact or communicate with professional teams, leagues, or those affiliated with them on behalf of the student-athletes we advise.
With so few scholarships available, are my chances of financial support limited?
Keep your eye on the ultimate goal: the most coveted prize in the recruiting process is a roster spot. Academics become a critical part of the scholarship picture, because if a school has no sport-specific money left, it can seek academic money, grants and scholarships.
I didn’t score well on my standardized tests. Can you help?
Our attention to every detail requires that we help. Before jumping to conclusions about what is good or bad, we help determine the next steps. Some schools of interest place little weight on standardized scores; if the opposite is true, we will point you in the right direction for help before your next test date.
How often can I reach out with questions?
Call us whenever you need to talk. We also encourage email and text, which often gets you a quick answer. Whatever is most comfortable and convenient for you works for us.
